Yep finally i’m getting them out and they’ll be ready for purchase this Thursday!

Selling these prints is actually a big deal for me because it would mark the second time i’ve actually sold my artwork – the first being back in primary school…

When I was in Grade 7 the students were asked to help raise funds at the school fete – I don’t know how or why but I decided to sell my artwork – I guess I must’ve thought I was awesome or something.

So on the day I grabbed some old artwork I had in my art folder at home and headed off to sell a few. They were nothing really special, just your typical kid stuff – superheroes, monsters and peoples heads exploding – yep quality art.

I wasn’t expecting to sell much so I only started really small. I had about 5 different pictures and 5 photocopies of each one. By the time the school fete was done Teach had made about 20 photocopies of each piece – yeah I was pretty stoked!

It was really cool to see kids I didn’t know holding my artwork and just commenting on how awesome it was – that was something I really did not expect. Art for me was something I did because I just enjoyed it, but to see others appreciate my work was truly gratifying.

I don’t know why but the thought never occurred to me to sell my artwork again after that school fete. Sure I loved drawing and always had ever since I can remember but making a living out of art just seemed something only lucky people get to do.

Hopefully this Thursday 1pm Perth time i’ll get lucky and have some of my prints sold and then mounted on the best wall in your house!

Thanks for all the support so far it means alot to me 🙂
